Some Of The Traditional Shows

Hooray For Hollywood

A look back at movie musicals featuring songs from Wizard of Oz and Singin' In The Rain to Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., in addition to both well-known classics and rare tunes from Cole Porter, Jerry Herman, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and Menken & Ashman. Highlights also include a Disney nonsense medley that brings together all those famous gibberish tunes from "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" and "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". The opening and closing numbers "Just Go To The Movies" and "I Love A Film Cliché" evoke all the stars and famous lines from Tinseltown's heyday.

Lost In Boston

This cabaret show playfully looks at writing musicals and the songs that get lost along the way to Broadway and the silver screen. Including nearly lost-for-good gems from Guys & Dolls, Oklahoma, Chicago, Company, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, The Spitfire Grill, The Wizard Of Oz, and Aladdin, as well as songs by Maltby & Shire and Randy Newman. This show can be performed by Joel & Jamie or also with a female vocalist, adding some songs from West Side Story, 110 In The Shade, and Rodgers & Hart.

You've Got A Friend In Me - The Songs Of Randy Newman

This show covers Randy Newman's music from the 60's to today, including Mama Told Me Not To Come, I Think It's Gonna Rain Today, Short People, I Love L.A., the Academy Award-winning If I Didn't Have You and, of course, You've Got A Friend In Me. Randy Newman's dry wit and beautiful melodies are the perfect combination for a cabaret setting. When strung together, Newman's songs tell a funny, dark, cautionary tale about ambition, love, Hollywood, success, and true happiness.

Let's Get Away From It All

What happens when a midwesterner wants to get away to someplace exotic? This tuneful and humorous travelogue takes you around the world on the melodies of Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Maltby & Shire, Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, Richard Rodgers, Mary Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, and Kander & Ebb. (Performed with a female vocalist as well.)

A Broadway Valentine

This show traces relationships through the eyes of Broadway's finest composers. From the first blush of love, to courtship, over the hurdles and through the obstacles, arriving at a happy ending. Featuring songs from Lerner & Loewe, Fats Waller, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gershwin & Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and others. (Performed with a female vocalist as well.)

Some Of The Large-Scale/Participatory Shows

Moulin Rouge Cabaret Fantastique

A trip back to Paris' Moulin Rouge, complete with Can-Can girls and Toulouse Latrec. Authentic re-creations are mixed with today's sensibilities with a modern take on Aristide Bruant, the larger-than-life emcee and singer, performing familiar and funny songs from and about the French. The audience can watch or participate as artists, can-can dancers and cabaret singers in a light-hearted, non-threatening way. Everyone has loved this one!

Laugh-In

A trip back to the groovy 60s and 70s and the mod world of Laugh-In. All your favorite bits from the show ("Verrry Interesting...", the fake news, "One Ringy-Dingy", the joke wall, Edith Ann ("and that's the truth. plplplplplpl"), the dirty old man on the park bench, poems by Henry Gibson, the party scene, and even the tricycle riders in rain slickers) make this a wacky, fun-filled show. Because of the wide-open nature of this show, just about anything can be included--we've even included a company-wide talent show!

I Need A Vacation

Similar to Let's Get Away From It All, this show can use any number of your employees or guests in small roles or even as extras requiring no skill or rehearsal.

1940s Radio Hour

We've done an old-fashioned radio show with a script tailored to our client. It was a smash hit and they asked us back for more!
